Where Clutter Goes to Hide
Garages, attics, basements, and sheds are where good intentions go to wait. They hold the box of cords "we might need," the crib saved for a grandkid, the tile left over from the 2014 bathroom remodel, and the mower that hasn't started in three summers. Over time the car gets pushed out to the driveway. The attic becomes a fire-and-pest risk. And the basement turns into a place nobody wants to go.
A garage cleanout or attic cleanout from Red Top Scoopers gets that space back in a single visit. We serve homeowners across Cartersville, Bartow County, Northwest Georgia, and Metro Atlanta.
What a Cleanout Looks Like
- You walk us through it. Show us what's staying and what's going. Mark keepers with tape or sticky notes, or just point.
- We do the heavy lifting. Our crew carries everything out from attic hatches, basement stairs, shed lofts, and the back corners of the garage.
- We set aside donations. Usable tools, bikes, furniture, and household goods get separated for donation or recycling whenever possible.
- We haul it all. One truck, sometimes more, depending on the job.
- We sweep up. You're left with a clean, empty floor ready for organizing, parking, or a home gym.
Things We Commonly Pull From Garages and Attics
- Old furniture and mattresses moved "temporarily" into storage
- Boxes of clothes, toys, books, and keepsakes no one's opened in years
- Broken lawn equipment, bicycles, and kids' ride-on toys
- Old exercise equipment
- Scrap lumber, leftover flooring, drywall pieces, and trim
- Holiday decorations and artificial trees
- Workbenches, metal shelving, and storage racks
- Old appliances — see appliance removal
- Carpet remnants, rugs, and padding
One important exception: old paint, chemicals, pesticides, motor oil, and other hazardous materials. Garages are full of these, and we can't haul them. Our page on items we can't take explains why and points you toward where they can go.
Attic Cleanouts in Georgia Heat
Georgia attics in summer can be brutally hot. Hauling boxes down a pull-down ladder in that heat is miserable, and honestly a little dangerous. That's a big reason people call us for attic work instead of tackling it themselves. Booking attic jobs early in the morning helps. We're open 7 days a week starting at 7am.
Basement Cleanouts
Basements come with their own challenges: narrow stairs, low ceilings, and sometimes moisture damage. Water-damaged boxes, swollen particleboard furniture, and mildewed carpet are the kinds of things you want out of the house quickly. We handle the carrying, so you don't have to make forty trips up the stairs.
The Hard Part Isn't the Lifting
For a lot of people, the toughest part of a garage or attic cleanout is deciding. Those boxes hold memories, and some items feel too valuable or too sentimental to just toss. Take your time. Do one pass to pull out what matters before we arrive. Then let us handle the rest. Our guide on the emotional side of decluttering has more on making those decisions without getting stuck. Cleanout Pricing

Common Questions
Do you help sort what to keep?
We'll work from your direction — point out or mark what stays, and we'll pull everything else. Usable items get set aside for donation whenever possible.
Can you take old paint and chemicals from my garage?
No. Paint, solvents, pesticides, fuel, and other hazardous materials need to go to a household hazardous waste facility or collection event.
How long does a garage cleanout take?
Most single-garage cleanouts take a few hours or less, depending on volume and how much sorting is needed.
